Recording his find.

Some 'letterboxes' are placed in dark recesses under rocks - and you may want to either wear a pair of gloves or use a stick to poke around in the holes with.

From our own experience we have come in contact with holly, gorse and slimy slugs under some rocks.

WEATHER

If you aren't familiar with walking on the moor, you should be aware that the weather can change quite quickly; and the lovely day you are having off the moor, may not be what you will find on the moor.
As well; the day may start out quite promising; and then an ill wind blows in - and you get quite wet.  Consult the BBC Weather report - either on TV or the Net prior to your outing; and be prepared for either a nice dry day or a wet soggy one.(Link to BBC Weather next page.)
