What is 'letterboxing'? Letterboxing is sort of a game of hide and seek. People either create or have made a stamp, and then they conceal it on or near the moor. Then other people(such as you and I) go out in search of these elusive 'letterboxes'.

Sounds easy...........right?
Where would you hide one if you were going to hide one? Where do you look? How are they hid? What do they look like? Will I know one if I see one?

Can you find the 'letterbox'? |

Look closely....... |
Above is a canister of one of the typical 'letterboxes'. It is a dark grayish tube with a tight fitting lid. Not all 'letterboxes' look like this. Some are similar to this, but white - others are plastic food storage containers; or old ammo boxes. 'Letterboxes' may be as vast and varied as the stamps they have within.
